KNOWLEDGE OF INSTRUCTION

Throughout the course EDFR 6302, we explored various theories and studies to gain deeper insights into learning, cognition, and human development. This advanced study focused on life-span development theories pertaining to human behavior, learning, and cognition, encompassing specific cognitive models and relevant research. The course also addressed the diverse needs of individuals at all developmental stages, from prenatal through old age.

Investigating proposals by renowned theorists such as Piaget, Erikson, Baumrind, and Vygotsky, we examined how their work influences educators in fostering cognitive development among students. Additionally, I conducted research to understand the interactions between the human brain, biology, and different stimuli, such as enrichment, music, and environmental experiences, and how they impact learning.

Drawing from the plentiful knowledge gained, I synthesized this information to formulate various recommendations applicable in the classroom setting that could be seen in the provided artifact.. These recommendations aim to cultivate a comfortable environment supportive for the success of both students and teachers.
